Childcare at DjangoCon

Childcare at DjangoCon

July 15, 2015 by Lacey Williams Henschel

We know many of you are wondering whether DjangoCon will offer childcare this year.

While we can’t yet confirm that we will have childcare during the conference, we want you to know we are working on it. But we need your help! We need you to let us know by Monday, July 27 if you need childcare at DjangoCon, since we have to book the providers in advance. We need to know:

  • Whether you need childcare at DjangoCon
  • Which days you’ll need childcare (note: we can only offer childcare during the conference days, not for the sprints or the tutorials)
  • How many kids you’d be bringing
  • How old they are
  • Whether they are potty trained

The number of nannies we have to book varies depending on whether the kids are potty trained (we need a higher nanny-to-child ratio for non-potty-trained kiddos), so that’s why we need to know this information.

You can let us know what you need in terms of childcare by filling out this form.

If your child is older and does not need childcare as they can attend the conference with you, please let us know since we need to register them with a complimentary ticket.

The sooner we hear from you, the sooner we can firm up plans, line up a sponsor or two, and confirm that we will have childcare (heavily subsidized or 100% free). If you or your company would like to sponsor childcare at DjangoCon, please contact us!
